Aaron is a very busy man of late with his day job at Juno Records as Editor and chief of Juno Plus, then spending his nights powering through David Hasslehoffs indoor football team to victory and help with events such as Love Fever, Shameless Disco, One Bad Habit etc
So first things first – David Hasslehoff ? The ShowHoffs ? Does he pay his team in actual American Dollars to win or does he pay you in Baywatch Pamela Anderson uncut videos ?
Ha! Yes, I’m part of the Show Hoffs five a side team currently in the midst of a promotion battle in the Powerleague Division 2 (Liverpool St branch). The team name is of course derived from David Hasslefhoff – I’m not sure who made that decision and why, but we live with it. We actually emailed Mr Hasslehoff’s management after we won the Division 3 title last season, and it was rumoured the man himself would come down to watch his disciples in action, but tragically it never eventuated.
In a short space of time you have built quite a reputation for yourself here in London, What would you say is the key to making it in this town ?
I’ll answer that with this:
Juno Plus Editor ? Sounds like an awful job what with being surrounded by the latest records, having to speak to all your favourite artists and having a business card that says editor…how is that going ?
Yeah things are going great. We’ve just launched our own podcast series and we’re using Juno Plus as a platform to push the labels and artists that we admire most. It’s a nice position to be in.
What is next for Aaron Coultate ?
Enrolling in those interpretive dance night classes I’ve always dreamed of… music, music and more music.
